JACKSON, Tenn. – The University of Montevallo softball teams is defeated by the Union University Bulldogs, 9-1, on Friday, Apr. 19 in Jackson, Tenn.
Montevallo went scoreless in the top of the first but
Sydnee Reaves walked for the first base runner of the game.
Taylor Lloyd shut down the Union offense in the bottom half with one strikeout.
In the second inning, the Bulldogs scored seven runs on five hits. Union launched three home runs in the inning including a grand slam. The Falcons would score their lone run of the game in the third with an infield single from
Bentlee Stiner.
Rachel Whiddon would turn in the best outing for the Falcons as she threw two scoreless innings where she struck out two. Whiddon's only blemish was one walk.
