CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Montevallo men's tennis fell to Lee, 7-0, on the road on Sunday afternoon.
The Falcons dropped the doubles point despite a 6-2 win from
Philippe Zehender and
Simon Luigs in the No. 3 match. Montevallo fell in the top singles match 6-2 before Lee secured the point with a 6-1 victory in the No. 2 match.
Zehender took the first match of the No. 2 singles match but eventually fell 6-3, 1-6, 2-6 after
Leonidas Lazarides dropped the top match 6-3, 6-3.
Samuel Maia battled in the No. 3 match but lost the match 3-6, 6-1, 1-6. Freshman
Ryota Nakajima fought hard in the No. 6 match but lost a first set 7-6 before dropping the second set 7-5.
Montevallo will close the regular season with a match against Auburn Montgomery at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 12.
