D2CCA SOUTH ALL-REGION TEAM

LAKELAND, Fla. – The D2CCA has released its 2024 All-South Region selections, Thursday, with Montevallo's Chris Foster earning a spot on the Second Team.
 
Foster, a closer from Houston, Texas is one of four relief pitchers selected to the All-Region teams. The senior earned the honor after collecting a career-high seven saves in 2024 along with a 4-2 record in relief. Foster made 18 appearances this season and pitched 19.1 innings. He finished with a 2.33 earned run average, a 1.24 WHIP and 17 strikeouts.
 
Foster's seven saves in 2024 is the third most in the Gulf South Conference this season and is the fifth-most in Montevallo's NCAA record book.
