West Point, Miss. – Montevallo men's golf finished seventh at the Dunning Invitational hosted by Delta State with
Eric Boutwell leading the Falcons with a sixth-place finish with a three-round score of one-under.
The Falcons finished seventh on the team leaderboard with an overall score of 23-over behind Gulf South Conference counterparts Valdosta State (+6) and Delta State (+8) while topping Mississippi College (+34) and Christian Brothers (+51).
Boutwell opened the tournament with an even par round in the first round and followed that with a two-under 70 in round two. The senior went on to add a final-round 73 (+1) to move into sole ownership of sixth place for the event.
Junior
Seth Rogers finished the tournament in a tie for 15
th with a three-round score of five-over. The opening round saw the Buhl, Ala. native shot a one-over 73 before turning in a 75 (+3) in round two. Rogers mirrored is opening round with a 73 in the final round to secure his top-20 finish.

Individual Highlights
- Boutwell was the lone Falcon to finish the tournament under par with the only under-par round from a Falcon during the tournament.
- Rogers posted his second-best finish this season with his final score of five-over.
- Freshman Bentley Van Pelt improved on his score in each round going from five-over in the first to four-over in the second. His final round score of 74 (+2) proved to be his best score of the week.
Team Highlights
- The Falcons finished each round in seventh place but overcame Mississippi College in the final round of action.
- Montevallo finished third out of the five GSC teams in action behind Valdosta State and Delta State while defeating Mississippi College and Christian Brothers.
- The Falcons improved on a 12-over first round with a five-over second round but dropped a shot in the final round with a team score of six-over.
