MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The third annual Falcon Victory campaign proved mightily successful for the University of Montevallo Athletic Department, raising a record-setting $120,951 during the two-week period.

Between Sept. 4 and Sept. 18, 1,296 donors contributed nearly $121,000 to Montevallo's athletic programs.

Montevallo men's lacrosse generated the most money for the campaign, with an impressive $31,305 raised from 188 donors. Women's basketball had the most total donors, with 321, for $13,005 raised.

Funds raised in the campaign help cover teams' needs for the upcoming season, including trip expenses and facility improvements.

"I am overjoyed with the success of this year's Falcon Victory campaign. First, I want to Director of Comprehensive Campaigns and Special Giving Lizbeth Juarez for coordinating this campaign," said Vice President for Athletics and Special Programs Mark Richard. "Second, thank you to each of our nearly 1,300 donors. Our third annual Falcon Victory campaign was a tremendous success for Falcon Nation. What everyone has done to support the athletic program and its student-athletes is nothing short of phenomenal. Our campus community, alumni, and fans have been generous with their financial gifts that support our student-athletes. Since beginning this campaign, we have continued to exceed our expectations; for that, we are extremely grateful."
