Six Falcons Named GSC All-Academic While 76 Athletes Listed on GSC Fall Honor Roll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Montevallo Athletics saw 76 athletes named to the Gulf South Conference Fall Honor Roll with six Falcons named GSC All-Academic.

Montevallo women's soccer led the Falcons with four All-Academic honorees while both Falcon cross country squads featured one athlete each.
 
Isabel Dillehay, Lainey Farabaugh, Morgan Goehring, and Emily Hounsell each earned their first career All-Academic selections as the Falcons led with the most women's soccer selections in the league.
 
Dillehay, a sophomore forward out of Centennial, Co., was named to the All-Academic team after posting a 3.59 GPA in pursuit of her Exercise and Nutrition Science degree. The sophomore finished the 2024 season with 20 points on eight goals and four assists while being named First Team All-GSC and D2CCA Second Team All-South Region.
 
Farabaugh, a sophomore forward, tallied her first All-Academic selection with a 4.00 GPA in her Data Analytics courses while started all 23 games for Montevallo in 2024. The Altoona, Pa. native tallied 17 points on the season with eight goals and one assist while leading the conference with six game-winning goals. Farabaugh's All-Academic honor caps an awards season that saw the sophomore named Second Team All-GSC.
 
Goehring earned one of 13 slots on the All-Academic team with a 3.93 GPA in her Mathematics program while appearing in 21 games with 20 starts in 2024. The Yorba Linda, Ca. native led the Falcons with six assists while adding six goals, including a game winner, for a total of 18 points on the season. The sophomore's All-Academic selection is the fifth postseason award of the year after being named First Team All-GSC, D2CCA First Team All-South Region, USC Second Team All-South Region and CSC Academic All-District.
 
Hounsell secured their first All-Academic honor after posting a 3.84 GPA in pursuit of their Psychology degree while playing every minute of the Falcons' season in goal. The Brighton, England native recorded a Montevallo record 10 shutouts on the season while allowing just 1.22 goals per game and posting a 14-6-3 record. Hounsell adds to their collection of postseason awards after earning First Team All-GSC, USC Second Team All-South Region and CSC Academic All-District honors.
 
Natalie Warner is one of ten athletes named to the Women's Cross Country All-GSC Academic Team. The senior posted a 3.96 GPA as she is pursuing a degree in history. Warner has been stellar on the course for the Falcons, running in all six races for the Falcons. Warner finished her year with a 25th place finish at the NCAA DII South Regional to garner 2024 NCAA DII All-South Region honors.
 
Jackson Howse is one of ten athletes named to the Men's Cross Country All-GSC Academic Team. The sophomore posted a 4.00 in pursuit of a biology degree. Howse has been solid on the course for UM, competing in all six races this year. Howse captured a 57th place finish at the NCAA DII South Regional.
 
Montevallo women's soccer highlighted the Falcons' Honor Roll selections with 23 athletes named while men's soccer saw 20 athletes honored. Volleyball garnered 15 selections to the fall edition of the Honor Roll while cross country saw a total of 18 athletes named with 10 on the men's team and eight coming from the women's squad.
