With 15:33 on the clock, Aidan Gardiner scored his first points since Nov. 18 vs. Point before adding a second bucket on the next Montevallo possession. Ahead of the second media timeout, TNU went on a 5-0 run to take a 19-10 lead. At the 10:19 mark, Tyson Sexton nailed a three from the corner to end a four-minute scoreless stretch for the Falcons. Over the next five minutes, Trevecca would stretch its lead to 33-16 with an 11-3 run. Andrews scored back-to-back buckets to trim the lead down, but the Trojans would hold to a 40-23 lead heading into the half.

Montevallo made up ground quickly with an 8-0 run behind threes from Moore and Jaylen Curry in the first 75 seconds of the half that sliced the lead to 40-31. The Trojans ended the Falcons' run with back-to-back threes that pushed the lead back to 15. At the 15:02 mark, Curry snapped a 9-2 Trojan run with a three from the corner as the Falcons trialed 49-36. Curry would go on to score a team-high 17 points with a three at the 7:34 mark before Derek Moore scored his 11th point of the night for his second double-double of the season at the 6:04 mark. Montevallo couldn't make up the difference despite a run late and fell on the road to Trevecca.
