Three Falcons Score in 3-0 Win Over Christian Brothers

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer stayed unbeaten in league play after a 3-0 shutout victory over Christian Brothers on Wednesday night.
 
The Falcons fired the first shot of the game with senior Bear Bradbury looking to beat the keeper in the third minute. Just three minutes later, senior keeper Jolie Cazale tallied her first save of the night. Montevallo saw three corners before Ayla Ertekin nearly broke the ice in the 32nd minute but was denied by the keeper. In the 33rd minute, Cazale added her second save of the night to send the game to the half in a 0-0 tie.
 
Out of the break, Morgan Goehring finally broke the tie off the first career assist from Elise Marquardt in the 48th minute. Just four minutes later, Katelynn Kott found her first of the season with assists to Goehring and Bradbury to extend UM's lead to 2-0. Lainey Farabaugh was denied a goal in back-to-back UM shots first from the keeper and then from the woodwork. In the 85th minute, Isabel Dillehay capped Montevallo's win with her first goal of the season to make the final score 3-0 and give UM a 5-0 start to conference play.
