MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team delivered a complete performance Thursday night, earning a 3-0 sweep over Auburn Montgomery inside Central State Bank Arena. The victory marks the Falcons' fifth straight win in GSC play, improving their record to 6-4 in the league.

The Falcons came out firing in the opening frame, jumping to a quick 4-0 lead behind kills from
Eliza Tyrrell and
Danielle Greene. Montevallo maintained control behind a balanced attack. Back-to-back kills from
Katie Wilkerson extended the lead to 21-14 before she capped the 25-17 win with her fifth kill of the set.
Set two proved to be the tightest of the match, featuring seven ties and three lead changes. Montevallo built early momentum off a block by Greene and McColley and an ace from McColley for a 7-3 lead. AUM rallied to even the score at 14-14 before the Falcons regained control with a 5-1 run capped by another ace from McColley and a kill by
Mae Mae Beatty. The Warhawks pushed back to tie it again at 24-24, but Montevallo sealed the set with a service error from AUM followed by a block from
Blakeley Robbins and
Kate Wilkin to close out the 26-24 win.
The two teams traded points early in the third set before a mid-set surge from the Falcons extended the lead to 19-14. Leading 21-18, UM closed out the sweep with the next four points to pick up a 25-18 set victory.
