HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Montevallo volleyball team fell to UAH Tuesday night by a final of 3-1 inside SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall.

The Falcons came out sharp, trading points early before using a late surge to take the opening set. Down 22-19, Montevallo rattled off six straight points behind key swings from
Mae Mae Beatty, who sealed the opener with a set-clinching kill.
Set two was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands five times. After trailing 7-4, Montevallo clawed back with a 5-1 stretch featuring kills from
Eliza Tyrrell and
Nikol Antova to take a 9-8 edge. The Falcons pushed ahead 23-20 late, but UAH strung together the final five points to even the match.
Momentum continued to swing as Montevallo erased an early 11-6 deficit with a 5-0 run fueled by Greene's net presence, pulling even midway through the set. A late 6-1 Falcon run gave them a 23-21 advantage. Despite the rally, UAH answered with the final four points to narrowly take the frame and move ahead 2-1.
The two teams traded points in the early going of the fourth set. The decisive blow came in the middle portion of the set as the Chargers used a 7-0 run to take control at 19-11. The hosts closed the set out with six of the final seven points to take the set 25-14 and secure the match victory.
GAME NOTES
- Maggie McColley and Nikol Antova paced the Falcons with 11 kills apiece.
- Danielle Greene continued her domination at the net with eight total blocks.
- The Falcons and Chargers will meet again in the regular season finale in Montevallo on Nov. 14.
