MONTEVALLO Ala. – Montevallo Athletics has named Men's Swimming's Ethan Brewer and Women's Swimming's Keara McGee as Montevallo Players of the Week Presented by Jack's for the week of Oct. 20. 
 
Ethan Brewer (Men's Swimming)
Brewer continued to make waves at the Emmanuel Fall Invite with two top three finishes that showcased his strength in distance freestyle events. The junior from Winter Garden, Florida, touched the wall third in both the 1000-yard freestyle (10:15.02) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.00), helping the UM men secure a narrow dual meet victory over Berry College (133-128). His consistent endurance and speed in distance freestyle remain a crucial asset for the Falcons as they prepare for their home meet next weekend. 
 
Keara McGee (Women's Swimming)
Senior Keara McGee from St. Augistine, Florida, put together a stellar performance highlighted by a third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (58.89), marking the ninth fastest time in UM history. She also contributed to Montevallo's impressive showing in multiple relay events, including a third-place finish in the 200-medley relay and a fifth-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay. McGee's versatility across freestyle and butterfly events was instrumental as the Falcon's dominated their competition with multiple dual meet victories, including wins over Berry, Converse, and Brenau.
