CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Montevallo volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Lee on Friday evening inside Paul Dana Walker Arena.

Montevallo struggled to find rhythm early as Lee used a 9-2 run out of the gates to pull ahead in the opening frame. Despite early kills from Danielle Greene and Ellise Hanson, the Lady Flames continued to build separation and closed the set with the final two points to take it, 25-15.
The Falcons responded with stronger defense in the second, tallying four total blocks and holding Lee to just a .036 hitting percentage. Montevallo kept things close midway through the frame behind kills from Eliza Tyrrell and Greene, while a Blakeley Robbins ace trimmed the deficit to 22-19 late. However, a late push from the Lady Flames secured the second set, 25-20.
Montevallo came out energized in the third, jumping ahead 6-1 behind a balanced offensive start. Lee, however, found momentum from the service line, stringing together a 10-1 run that flipped the frame. Despite late kills from Hanson and Greene, the Lady Flames closed out the match, 25-19.
