BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Montevallo men's golf duo Dodd Ferrelle and Brant Carman have garnered Gulf South Conference Weekly Awards after a strong showing at the Citrus Intercollegiate.

Ferrelle, a Falcon sophomore, posted Montevallo's top finish in ChampionsGate, Fla. with a three-round score of two-over (218) for a T-16^th finish at the ChampionsGate Golf Resort. Ferrelle opened the tournament with a 74 (+2) in round one before taking his low round of the season with a one-under 71 in round two with a pair of birdies. The sophomore then set a season-high with four birdies in round three to finish the tournament with a one-over 73 for his top finish of the 2025 fall season.
 
Carman's top finish of his debut season featured a three-round score of eight-over (224) for a T-33^rd finish. The freshman opened the week with a two-over 74 in round one before carding a total of four birdies in his round-two 75 (+3). Carman then tallied Montevallo's lone eagle of the tournament in round three en route to a three-over 75 for his T-33^rd finish.
 
The duo will now break for the winter and return to action in the spring of 2026.
