MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Montevallo volleyball team rolled to its second straight sweep Thursday night, taking down AUM 3-0 on the road to secure its 10th GSC win of the season.

The Falcons opened strong with a 4-1 lead behind two early blocks and a kill from Danielle Greene. After AUM pulled even at 9-9, Montevallo surged back in front 15–-1 following kills from Greene, Mae Mae Beatty, and Maggie McColley. The Warhawks briefly took a 19-18 edge, but UM closed out the frame behind another Greene kill to take Set 1, 25-23.
AUM struck for an early lead in the second, but the Falcons responded with a 6-1 run to go up 9-5. The hosts twice cut the margin to one, but Montevallo pulled away late with a 7-2 burst highlighted by two Katie Wilkerson kills and an ace from Blakeley Robbins. The Falcons closed out the set 25-20 for a 2-0 match lead.
Montevallo carried the momentum into the third set, racing out to a dominant 7-1 start. AUM made a late push to trim the deficit to 19-17, but a McColley kill halted the run, and the Falcons finished strong to take the set 25-19 and complete their second sweep of the Warhawks this season.
GAME NOTES
- Danielle Greene led the way with a team-high 11 kills and four blocks.
- Montevallo hit .294 as a team, including an impressive .333 in the second set.
