Falcons Close Regular Season with a 2-0 Win Over Clayton State

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer closes the 2025 regular season with a 2-0 win over Clayton State on Monday night.
 
The Falcons put Clayton State on the back foot early with Lainey Farabaugh's first shot on goal coming in the first minute before the junior added a second shot on frame in the 16th minute. Farabaugh finally beat the keeper with her third shot on target in the 21st minute to give UM a 1-0 lead. Bear Bradbury tallied her first shot on frame in the 24th minute but was turned aside. Senior keeper Jolie Cazale recorded her lone save of the night in the 42nd minute to send UM to the half with a one goal lead.
 
Montevallo opened the second half on the gas pedal with shots on goal from Madysen Legere and Ayla Ertekin in the first 10 minutes of the half. The game evolved into a game of possession for the next 20 minutes until Bear Bradbury lifted the Falcons to a 2-0 lead with her third goal of the season. In the final three minutes, Janelle Torres fired the final shot of the game to force yet another CSU save and give Montevallo its 2-0 win to close the regular season.
