Falcons Advance to GSC Semifinals With 3-2 Win Over Spring Hill

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer advanced to the 2025 Gulf South Conference Semifinals with a 3-2 win over Spring Hill on Saturday evening.

Lainey Farabaugh opened the games scoring early with her first goal of the night coming in the second minute. Spring Hill would tie the game at 1-1 just ten minutes later. Farabaugh's second goal of the night came off assists from Isabel Dillehay and Ayla Ertekin to give Montevallo a 2-1 lead in the 19th minute. Bear Bradbury and Katelynn Kott looked to extend Montevallo's lead around the 30-minute mark but each shot on goal was turned away. The second half started as a game of possession for the first 30 minutes with just two shots from either side before the 77th minute. Spring Hill would add its second goal of the night in the 77th minute to knot the game at 2-2. Just two minutes later, Ayla Ertekin found her fifth goal of the season to give Montevallo a 3-2 lead with 12 minutes to go.
