JACKSON, Tenn. – The Montevallo volleyball team completed the season sweep over Union on Saturday, taking down the Lady Bulldogs in straight sets to improve to 9-9 in Gulf South Conference play.

Montevallo jumped out to an early 5-1 lead in the opening set to establish the tone. The Falcons continued to build their advantage, using a 6-1 run late in the frame to go ahead 20-12 before a Danielle Greene kill sealed the 25-18 win.
The Falcons once again raced out to a quick start in the second set, scoring eight of the first 10 points. Union battled back to even the score at 15 following a 5-1 run midway through the set, but Montevallo responded immediately with a 5-0 spurt to regain control and take the set, 25-21.
In the third, the teams traded points early before Montevallo broke things open with a 14-3 extended run, turning a two-point deficit into a 22-13 lead. Late in the set, Ava Wind recorded her 13th dig of the match, a milestone moment that put her into Montevallo's 1,000 dig club. An Eliza Tyrrell kill capped the frame to secure the sweep and the Falcons' second win of the season over Union.
