LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Montevallo women's tennis team fell to West Alabama 6-1 on Wednesday.
The Tigers opened the day, sweeping doubles to take the early 1-0 advantage.
Erika Freire and
Latizia Bojara came fought at the No. 3 spot, but ultimately came at short, falling 6-4.
The Falcons lone singles win came at the No. 6 spot, as
London Breedlove defeated Lolita Hukasian in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6.
Claire Jaramba and
Johanna Kullman fell in tightly contested three-set matches at the No. 2 and 4, spots respectively. Jaramba won the opening set 6-4, before falling in the final two sets, while Kullman lost the first set and bounced back in the second set with a 6-3 win, before falling in the third set.
The Falcons return to action on Friday, for a neutral site matchup against Georgia College.
