COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Montevallo women's team captured its second win of the season, defeating Georgia College 6-1 in a neutral-site matchup on Friday afternoon.
Montevallo took the doubles point with a 6-3 win from
Klara Podskubkova and
Claire Jaramba in the No. 2 match and a win by default for
Erika Freire and
Latizia Bojara in the No. 3 match.
London Breedlove earned a win by default at the No. 6 singles match, putting Montevallo ahead 2-0.
Elena Ondobo followed that up with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 3 spot.
Greta Vagnini secured the win with a 6-4, 6-0 victory at the No. 5 spot.
Klara Podskubkova picked up another win in straight sets, earning a 6-4, 6-4 victory at the top spot.
Johanna Kullman tallied the Falcons' final victory in the No. 4 spot with a 6-4, 5-7, 10-3 win.
Montevallo closes the weekend in Columbus on Saturday with a match against Columbus State at 1:00 p.m. CST.
