COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Montevallo men's tennis team secured its second consecutive 4-3 victory, as the Falcons took down Georgia College in a neutral-site matchup on Friday afternoon.
Georgia College took the doubles point, taking two of three doubles matches.
Dylan Kamel and
Luiz Brandao earned the lone doubles win for the Falcons, picking up a 7-6 victory in the No. 3 match.
Guilherme Gracioli earned the first singles win for the Falcons with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 4 spot.
Paul Sobich followed that up with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the top spot. The Bobcats picked up a pair of singles wins, to earn a 3-2 advantage.
Gabriel Variano picked up a crucial 7-5, 6-4 win at the No. 6 spot to tie the overall match, 3-3.
Ryota Nakajima sealed the deal, capturing a 7-5, 6-4 win at the No. 5 spot to secure the overall victory for Montevallo.
Montevallo closes the weekend in Columbus on Saturday with a match against Columbus State at 1:00 p.m. CST.
