COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Montevallo women's tennis team fell to Columbus State 6-1 on Saturday.
The Cougars opened the day sweeping doubles play, to take the early 1-0 advantage.
Elena Ondobo won the lone singles match for the Falcons, picking up a 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 victory at the No. 2 spot.
Klara Podskubkova forced three sets at the top spot, falling 2-6, 6-3, 2-6.
Johanna Kullman battled at the No. 4 spot, falling in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 2-6). Erika Freiere also forced three sets, falling 2-6, 6-2, 1-6 at the No. 6 spot.
Montevallo returns to action on Tuesday, March 4, with a GSC-match against Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss.
