Acrobatics and Tumbling Set to Host East Texas Baptist on Tuesday

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo acrobatics and tumbling team is set to host its second home meet of the year, facing off against East Texas Baptist on Tuesday, March 11.

About Montevallo
The Falcons hold an overall record of 1-2 so far in its inaugural season. Montevallo opened the season with a win over Talladega (245.480-189.554), before falling to No. 13 Saint Leo. The Falcons last saw action on Friday, March 7, falling to Mars Hill (238.250-243.470) in the first home meet in program history.

In the last meet, Montevallo set a season-high in the acro event with 26.35 total points. This tops UM's previous best score of 24.25 points against Talladega. The Falcons also hit a season-high of 9.25 in the inversion pyramid, which is an improvement of .5 from the last meet.

Scouting East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist come into Tuesday's meet with an 0-3 record, falling to Hawaii Pacific and Texas Lutheran (twice). After opening the year with a score of 165.40, East Texas Baptist has posted back-to-back identical scores of 195.52 in the last two meets.
