TIGERVILLE, Sc. - The Montevallo men's tennis team secured a 5-2 victory over North Greenville on the road at the Vance Tennis Courts in Tigerville, SC.
The Falcons started strong in doubles play, winning two of three matches to claim the doubles point. Paul Sobich and Simon Luigs dominated at No. 2 doubles with a 6-1 victory, while Guilherme Gracioli and Gabriel Variano sealed the point with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action, Montevallo controlled the match, winning four of the six contests. Gracioli fought through a three-set battle at No. 2 singles, earning a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 win. Luiz Brandao also prevailed in a three-set match at No. 4, securing a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory. Variano and Luigs picked up straight-set wins at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, to ensure Montevallo's team victory.
With this win, the Falcons continue to build momentum as they move deeper into the season.
