FLORENCE, Sc. - The Montevallo women's tennis team delivered a commanding performance, shutting out Francis Marion 7-0 at the Kassab Tennis Courts.
The Falcons set the tone early by sweeping the doubles matches. Klara Podskubkova and Claire Jaramba secured a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, while London Breedlove and Elena Ondobo took No. 2 doubles with a 6-3 win. Latizia Bojara and Johanna Kullman capped off the sweep with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
Montevallo continued its dominance in singles play, winning all six matches. Podskubkova cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles, while Ondobo followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2. Jaramba battled through a tough first set but prevailed 7-6, 6-0 at No. 3. Kullman earned a three-set victory at No. 4, and Breedlove and Bojara sealed the sweep with straight-set wins at No. 5 and No. 6.
With this dominant victory, Montevallo continues its strong season and looks ahead to its next challenge.
