MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The Montevallo women's tennis team put up a fight but ultimately fell 2-5 to Lee University in a hard-fought match at home.

The Falcons started strong in doubles play, with Greta Vagnini and Johanna Kullman securing a 6-4 victory at the No. 1 spot. However, Lee bounced back by winning the next two doubles matches, taking the doubles point.

In singles action, Montevallo's Greta Vagnini and London Breedlove claimed wins for the Falcons. Vagnini battled through a three-set thriller at the No. 5 spot, winning 6-4, 3-6, 10-5. Meanwhile, Breedlove dominated at No. 6 singles, securing a straight-set victory, 6-2, 6-1.

Despite their efforts, Montevallo came up short in the remaining singles matches, with Lee securing the overall win. The Falcons will look to bounce back in their next match as they continue their season.
