CLINTON, MS — The Montevallo women's tennis team came up short on the road against Mississippi College, falling 1-6 at the MC Tennis Complex on April 7.
The Falcons opened doubles play with a strong showing at the No. 1 spot, where Johanna Kullman and Greta Vagnini secured a 6-4 win. However, Mississippi College claimed victories on courts two and three to take the doubles point.
In singles action, Elena Ondobo delivered the lone point for Montevallo with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 2 position. Despite a few competitive sets across the board, the Choctaws maintained control in the remaining matches to seal the team victory.
Montevallo aims to bounce back as they move forward to their senior day match.
