About Montevallo
McGwire Turner homered twice against Union, in games one and two. Turner homered against Christian Brothers in game three which gives Turner long balls in three consecutive games. The last player to do that was Zen Hiatt who homered in each game of the series last season against CBU on Feb. 23-24, 2024. Turner now has multi-hit games in four consecutive games. In that span he has nine hits, nine runs scored, two doubles, three home runs and four RBI.

Adiel Melendez dazzled against Union in his previous start as he went 7.2 innings, allowed only one earned run, one walk and he struck out six. Melendez earned his eighth win of the season, his sixth outing of seven innings or more and his 10th game with five or more strikeouts. This outing earned him GSC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

In his last 11 game played, Evan Radford has 20 hits, 15 runs scored, 19 RBI, five home runs and four doubles. In that span, Radford has seven multi-hit games, four multi-RBI games and two multi-homer games. He is one of three Falcons with over 100 total bases this season and has 14 doubles, 12 homers and 43 RBI.

The Falcons are receiving votes for the third consecutive week in the NCBWA South Region Poll. UM is four points behind Savannah State who occupies the 10th spot. The Falcons have 10 wins against teams ranked in the poll including Tampa (1st), Delta State (3rd), Spring Hill (5th), West Florida (6th), Valdosta State (7th) and Mississippi College (9th).

The last time these two teams matched up was in the 2024 GSC Tournament where the Falcons knocked out the Warhawks, 7-5. UM took the regular season series last season as they won games one and three while AUM salvaged game two.
