BIRIMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has released its 2024-25 GSC All-Sports Trophy final standings with Montevallo ranking fifth among the conference's 12 teams.

Montevallo's fifth-place ranking featured a total of 89.625 points combined from a total of 38.250 points from the men's trophy and 51.375 points from the women's side. Points for each team are decided by the team's finish in the final regular season conference standings and the team's performance in its respective championship events.
In each of the individual standings, the Falcons finished sixth in the Women's All-Sports standings with a score of 34.5 while adding a seventh-place mark for the Men's All-Sports Trophy with 28.625 points.
Montevallo women's soccer led the charge for the Falcons with a score of 10.75 on the season with a second-place finish in the regular season and an appearance in the 2024 GSC Championship game. Women's cross country and women's golf each added a total of 7.00 points. Softball (5.375) and women's basketball (4.375) rounded out the counted scores for the women's side.
Men's basketball highlighted Montevallo's men's scores with a total of 8.875 points after a fourth-place regular-season finish and a trip to the GSC Semifinals in Birmingham, Ala. Men's golf added 6.00 points with its fourth-place finish at the GSC Championship while baseball's 5.750 points came mostly from its postseason run to the conference title game. Both indoor and outdoor track and field close the men's scores with 4.00 points each.
The Overall All-Sports Trophy counts all sports that a school sponsors, with its regular-season finish in the standings country towards 75 percent of the final rank, and a tournament finish making up the other 25 percent. For the men's and women's standings, basketball counts for every school and the top four next highest finishes for each sport by each school are counted; regular-season finish counts towards 75 percent of the final overall rank and tournament finish counts at 25 percent. Affiliate members are included in the calculations but do not qualify for All-Sports Trophy.
