GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association has named its 2025 ABCA/Rawlings Div. II All-Region Teams with a trio of Falcons earning First Team All-Region honors.

OFFICIAL RELEASE

The Falcons saw McGwire Turner named First Team Second Baseman with Evan Radford earning the First Team Utility position while Adiel Melendez earned a First Team Pitcher nod.

Turner's debut season as a Falcon featured a host of postseason honors with a Second Team All-GSC selection, a GSC All-Tournament selection, NCBWA First Team All-Region and finally a D2CCA First Team All-Region honor. As a starter in all 54 games for the Falcons, Turner tallied a .404 batting average with 86 hits on the season while adding nine doubles, eight homeruns, and 47 RBI. The Helena, Ala. native led the team with 25 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games while adding a streak of 22 consecutive games with a hit. Twice this season, he tied the program record for most times on base with seven against Miles and Georgia Southwestern.

Radford's first season in a Montevallo uniform saw the junior garner a Second Team All-Conference honor, GSC All-Tournament Team selection, an NCBWA Second Team All-Region nod and a D2CCA Second Team All-Region selection. Spending most of the season batting in the clean-up spot, Radfrod tallied a .343 average at the plate with the fourth-most hits in the league with 73 while adding a team-best 16 homeruns for the second most in the GSC and 56 RBI for the second most on the team. In 2025, Radford had nine games with three or more RBI and three multi-home run games.

Melendez rounds out the Falcons' ABCA All-Region honors after being named First Team All-GSC, GSC All-Tournament Team, NCBWA First Team All-Region and D2CCA First Team All-Region. In his second season at Montevallo, the senior posted a record of 10-5 as a starter for UM with an ERA of 2.38 in 98.1 innings pitches. In 15 appearances, Melendez allowed just 26 earned runs with a whopping 102 strikeouts to just 32 walks while posting a WHIP of 1.23. His opponent batting average of .242 ranks as the second lowest for any pitcher in the GSC. His most dominant outing of the season came against Valdosta State on the road where he went 7.1 innings, allowed only one earned run and one walk, and he struck out a career-high 10 batters.

Montevallo's three selections to the 2025 ABCA All-Region tied the program's three selections following the 2000 season and marks the most First Team selections in a single season.

Turner, Radford and Melendez will now be entered into the ballots for ABCA All-America which is set to be announced on Friday, May 30.
