MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Division II Conference Commissioners Association has announced its 2025 All-America Teams with Montevallo's
McGwire Turner named Third Team All-American.
OFFICIAL RELEASE
The sophomore's first-career All-America honor followed a season that saw the Helena, Ala. native named to three separate All-Region First Teams while also earning a Second Team All-GSC nod and a 2025 GSC All-Tournament team selection. Starting in all 54 games for the Falcons, Turner recorded a .404 batting average with 86 hits on the season while tallying nine doubles, eight homeruns, and 47 RBI. The Helena, Ala. native led the team with 25 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games while adding a streak of 22 consecutive games with a hit. On two separate occasions, the sophomore tied the program record for most times on base with seven against Miles and Georgia Southwestern.
Turner's selection marks the fourth Falcon to be named D2CCA All-America in program history and the first since Sam Kuchinski's selection following the 2023 season.
The CCA All-America and All-Region baseball teams, which are selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) from schools playing Division II baseball, were first established in 2007. This is the ninth year in which the program is solely sponsored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association. A total of 48 student-athletes were named to either the first, second or third team All-America squad while 16 were named honorable mention.
