MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo volleyball team is set for its third straight road weekend as the Falcons travel to Aiken, S.C. for the GSC/PBC Crossover. Montevallo will face Augusta on Friday at 12 p.m. CT before squaring off with Lander (10 a.m. CT) and host USC Aiken (2 p.m. CT) on Saturday.
OFFICIAL SCHEDULE
Montevallo is coming off a strong weekend in Greeneville, Tenn., where the Falcons downed Tusculum and Southern Wesleyan. Danielle Greene powered the team with a career-high 19 kills and five blocks in the win over the Pioneers, while Blakeley Robbins recorded 49 assists across the two matches.
Augusta (5-1) enters the weekend coming off a dominant stretch with wins over North Greenville, Mount Olive, and Francis Marion. The Jaguars are led offensively by Mia Saavedra, who has tallied 80 kills, while Sofia Snitsarevych anchors the defense with 30.0 blocks. Setter Sydney Harrington has contributed 202 assists through the first six matches.
Lander (5-2) is riding a five-match winning streak after sweeping the Redderson Invitational with victories over Young Harris, Chowan, Saint Anselm, and Winston-Salem. Katie Miller, this week's PBC Player of the Week, leads the Bearcats with 95 kills and 18 service aces, while Enisilina Savelio has tallied a team-high 214 assists through the first seven contests.
USC Aiken (4-3) serves as the weekend host and comes in following a strong showing at the USCA Invitational, where the Pacers went 3-1 with wins over Mount Olive, Francis Marion, and North Greenville. Anna Sommer leads the team with 66 kills, while setters Sidney Hogan (138) and Madison Fox (108) direct the offense.
