MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo volleyball team is set to begin Gulf South Conference play on Tuesday night with a road trip to Livingston, Ala., to face West Alabama. First serve is slated for 6:00 p.m.

Montevallo opens league action following three consecutive road weekends to start the season. The Falcons are coming off a hard-fought five-set victory at USC Aiken on Saturday, highlighted by strong performances from Danielle Greene and Eliza Tyrrell, who combined for 39 kills over the weekend. Defensively, Ava Wind anchored the back row with 20-plus digs in each of the team's three matches.
West Alabama (4-3) enters the matchup riding a four-match winning streak under first-year head coach Ed Allen. The Tigers have already doubled their win total from 2024, led offensively by junior Cadence Goeden with 88 kills. Defensively, Katherine Korre has been a force with 66 digs and 13.0 blocks.
GAME NOTES
- Montevallo has won nine straight meetings against West Alabama.
- Last season's matchup in Livingston went the distance, with the Falcons earning a five-set victory.
