MONTEVALLO, Ala. — The University of Montevallo volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Trevecca on Friday night inside Central State Bank Arena.

The Falcons and Trojans traded blows in the opening frame, with Mallory Hulsey leading the attack early. Montevallo rallied late to tie the set at 22, but a final Trevecca surge clipped the Falcons, 25-23.
Montevallo responded in the second, finding rhythm on both sides of the ball. Eliza Tyrrell and Danielle Greene provided a spark at the net, while Ava Wind anchored the back row. A decisive 5-1 run midway through the set gave the Falcons control, and they closed out the frame, 25-21, to even the match.
The third set mirrored the opener, with neither side able to separate by more than a few points. Hulsey and Nikol Antova delivered timely kills to keep Montevallo close, but the Trojans once again closed it out for a narrow 25-23 win.
In the fourth, Montevallo looked to extend the match, but Trevecca seized momentum with a strong offensive run. Despite steady contributions from Tyrrell and Maggie McColley, the Falcons couldn't overcome the deficit, falling 25-18.
