MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo baseball team returns home Tuesday afternoon to host No. 9 North Georgia at Kermit A. Johnson Field at Bob Riesener Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday's contest marks the seventh ranked matchup the Falcons have had through their first 15 games of the 2026 campaign, continuing a strong early-season slate.

Montevallo looks to rebound after a tough weekend series at Mississippi College. Despite the setback,
Jack Fitzgerald delivered another productive performance at the plate, going 5-for-11 with a double, two home runs, and four RBI. The Falcons have been strong in midweek action this season, holding a 2-0 record with victories over Spring Hill and Tuskegee.
North Georgia enters the matchup with a 12-3 overall record and a national ranking as high as No. 9 in the ABCA poll. The Nighthawks were also ranked No. 14 by D2 Baseball on Monday following a series win over No. 19 Lander.
Kyle Robitzsch leads the Nighthawks offensively with a .408 batting average, adding two doubles, two home runs, and 14 RBI. Ben Hamacher is batting .391 with a team-high 25 hits, three doubles, one home run, and 12 RBI. As a team, North Georgia is hitting .297.
On the mound, the Nighthawks carry a 4.26 team ERA into the week. Righthander Ethan Finch (0-1, 6.97 ERA) is expected to make the start after taking the ball in each of North Georgia's last two midweek contests.
