Montevallo enters the weekend with momentum after an emphatic 13-3 victory over ABCA No. 9 North Georgia on Tuesday. The Falcons' offense erupted early and never looked back, securing their second top-10 win of the season.
Evan Radford led the charge at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a double and a home run.
Matthew Bullard earned the win in relief, allowing just two hits in 3.0 scoreless frames while striking out three.
Trevecca arrives in Montevallo with a 9-5 overall record and a strong 5-1 mark in GSC play. The Trojans are coming off a narrow 7-6 midweek setback at Lincoln Memorial but claimed two of three games against Valdosta State last weekend after opening conference play with a sweep of AUM.
Offensively, Caleb Webster sets the tone for the Trojans, hitting .370 with six doubles, a triple, a home run, and 12 RBI. As a team, Trevecca leads the conference with a .305 batting average and 140 total hits.
On the mound, the Trojans carry a 5.46 team ERA with 129 strikeouts to 62 walks. Righthander Logan Harrell (2-1, 6.87 ERA) is expected to start Friday's series opener. Jonah Smithson (2-0, 3.00 ERA) will take the ball in Saturday's first game and leads the team with 31 strikeouts in 21.0 innings. Righty Spencer Wilkins (1-2, 4.30 ERA) is projected to start the series finale. Opponents are hitting just .241 against Wilkins this season.
