MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo baseball team fell to Spring Hill, 10-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Kermit A. Johnson Field at Bob Riesener Stadium.

Spring Hill opened the scoring with a two-run home run in the third inning before adding three more runs the following frame on another homer to take a 5-0 lead. Jack Fitzgerald put the Falcons on the board in the fourth inning, launching a solo home run over the batter's eye in center field to cut into the deficit.

The Badgers extended their lead with five runs in the seventh inning. Dominic Maldet provided Montevallo's second run in the eighth, ripping a double down the right field line to score Caleb Karll.

The Falcons loaded the bases in the ninth but were unable to push a run across as Spring Hill secured the 10-2 victory.

• Matthew Sparks struck out six batters across 2.2 scoreless innings in relief.
