LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Montevallo baseball team dropped the series opener, 4-3, to No. 5 West Alabama on Friday night at Tartt Field.
The Falcons struck first in the opening inning when Evan Radford delivered an RBI double to put Montevallo in front 1-0. The Tigers responded in the second inning with a two-run frame to take a 2-1 lead.
Radford came through again in the fifth inning, ripping his second RBI double of the night to push the Falcons back in front, 3-2. The score held into the ninth inning before West Alabama plated two runs on a single to walk off with the 4-3 win.
