MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Acrobatics & Tumbling is set to close the 2026 home slate this weekend, hosting No. 14 Lander on Saturday. The meet will serve as Senior Day where Montevallo will honor its three seniors Payton Roach, Katlyn Smith, and Corrine Wilcox.
Montevallo holds a 1-1 overall record, after opening the season falling to No. 11 Saint Leo (244.565-259.840) and defeating Mars Hill (251.990-238.480). The Mars Hill victory was the first Conference Carolinas win in program history for the Falcons. Montevallo sits at 2-0 in Conference Carolinas action, after adding a forfeit win over Emmanuel. The forfeit win will not count towards Montevallo's overall NCATA record.
After a solid opening week of action, Lexie Cole was named Conference Carolinas Specialist of the Week. Cole most notably combined with teammates, Rilyn McAllister, and Alesandra Vega to score the first perfect score in program history which came in the Five Element Acro. The Falcons also saw strong pyramid scores against Mars Hill, recording two scores over 9.00 in the Pyramid events, most notably recording a 9.75 in the Inversion Pyramid. Ally Torres earned the best tumbling score, recording a 8.500 in the Open Pass.
Saturday's meet is set to start at 2:00 p.m. CST.
