The Falcons are looking for their second straight win over the Tigers after earning a 4-3 extra-inning victory in the series finale over the weekend. Caleb Karll led the way with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate, while Matthew Bullard earned the win in relief after tossing 2.2 scoreless innings.
West Alabama enters Tuesday's matchup with a 21-4 overall record and a 12-3 mark in Gulf South Conference play, sitting second in the league standings. The Tigers are ranked No. 5 by the ABCA, No. 8 in the D2 Baseball poll, No. 9 by the NCBWA, and No. 19 by Perfect Game.
Offensively, UWA ranks second in the GSC with a .316 team batting average. Wayne Wilkerson leads the Tigers with a .407 average in 17 starts this season, while Nick Wilson paces the lineup with 36 hits, six home runs, and 29 RBI.
On the mound, West Alabama leads the conference with a 3.10 team ERA, with eight pitchers owning ERAs under 3.00. Camden Diamond (0-0, 5.06 ERA) is expected to make the start after drawing the midweek start for the Tigers last week against William Carey.
