MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Acrobatics & Tumbling returns to action on Monday, as the Falcons face off against King University in Bristol, Tenn.
Montevallo holds a 3-2 overall record, after earning a pair of wins over Coker and Francis Marion on Friday. The Falcons sit at 4-1 in Conference Carolinas action, due to a forfeit win over Emmanuel. The forfeit win counts towards Montevallo's conference record, but not UM's overall NCATA record.
Friday's tri-meet saw Montevallo finish with a final score of 248.105, compared to Coker's 243.805 and Francis Marion's 222.310. Montevallo's best showing came in the Pyramid Event, as the Falcons recorded scores of 9.65 in the Inversion heat, 9.55 in the Synchronized heat, and 9.55 in the Open heat, leading to an overall score of 27.90. Tumbling scores saw Tracie Leopold earn a 9.150 in the Aerial Pass, Ally Torres record an 8.550 in the Open Pass, and Rilyn McAllister earn an 8.375 in the Six-Element Pass. Montevallo recorded an 81.03 in the Team Event.
King holds a 4-2 record in conference play, holding wins over Belmont Abbey, Emmanuel (forfeit), Newberry, and Francis Marion. King earned its highest overall score of the season last time out, recording a 246.385 in a loss to Mars Hill.
Monday's meet is set to start at 5:00 p.m. CST.
