MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo baseball team continues its GSC slate this weekend with a pivotal three-game home series against Lee. First pitch for Friday's opener is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., with Saturday's doubleheader set to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Montevallo enters the weekend with momentum after a 6-3 win over No. 14 Young Harris on Wednesday. Caleb Karll led the offensive charge with three hits, including a pair of RBI doubles, while the Falcons' pitching staff limited one of the nation's top offenses to just four hits. The Falcons have won six of their last seven games, including three victories over ranked opponents.
Lee comes into the series at 19-11 overall and 11-7 in GSC play. The Flames are coming off a weekend sweep of Christian Brothers before falling in a 12-9 midweek contest against Tusculum. Offensively, Lee leads the conference in nearly every major category, including batting average (.325), hits (322), home runs (34), RBI (234), slugging percentage (.497), and stolen bases (70). Catcher Isaiah French paces the lineup with a .376 average, eight home runs, and 13 stolen bases, highlighting a group that features 10 hitters batting above .300.
On the mound, the Flames hold a 5.03 team ERA with a 1.51 WHIP and have recorded 224 strikeouts. Righthander Evan Bloomer (4-0, 4.22 ERA) is expected to start Friday's opener. Southpaw Gage Shaver (3-2, 5.08 ERA) is slated for Saturday's second game of the series, while righty Dylan Van Meeteren (3-1, 3.98 ERA) is projected to start the finale.
