MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo baseball team returns home Tuesday afternoon for a midweek matchup against Spring Hill. First pitch from Kermit A. Johnson Field at Bob Riesener Stadium is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Montevallo enters the contest following a road series victory over UAH in Huntsville, taking two of three games from the Chargers. The Falcons' offense surged throughout the series, hitting .354 as a team with eight doubles, two triples, and four home runs.
Ian Cartwright paced the lineup with eight hits in 14 at-bats, while
Evan Radford turned in a strong weekend at the plate, batting .538 (7-for-13) with a home run and four RBI.
Spring Hill comes into Tuesday's matchup with a 13-9 overall record and a 10-3 mark in SIAC play. The Badgers are riding momentum after sweeping Tuskegee in a three-game series and hold a 3-4 record against GSC opponents this season.
Offensively, Jatnier Torres leads Spring Hill with a .357 batting average and 25 hits, while Jordan Black is hitting .323 with a team-best seven home runs and 19 RBI. As a team, the Badgers are batting .273 this season.
On the mound, Spring Hill's pitching staff carries a 5.82 ERA with 146 strikeouts across 170.0 innings pitched. Righthander Donovan Monsees (1-1, 1.59 ERA) is expected to start Tuesday after throwing 4.1 innings with three strikeouts in the Badgers' midweek loss to No. 11 West Florida last Tuesday.
