MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's tennis team fell to No. 5 West Alabama, 7-0, Wednesday afternoon at the UM Tennis Court Complex.

The Tigers secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2, gaining early momentum in the match.

In singles play, No. 71 Klara Podskubkova battled No. 11 Shairia Rivera in a tightly contested match but ultimately fell 5-7, 4-6. Claire Jaramba also put up a strong fight, forcing a second-set tiebreak against No. 16 Alexa Milliam before coming up short, 3-6, 6-7 (6), as West Alabama swept all six singles contests.

UP NEXT: Both Falcon squads return to action on Tuesday, April 7, for a road matchup at Columbus State. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
