MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo baseball team hits the road this weekend for a three-game GSC series against Union in Jackson, Tenn. First pitch for Friday's doubleheader is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., while Saturday's series finale is set for 12:00 p.m.

The Falcons enter the weekend riding momentum from their second conference sweep of the season and fourth consecutive series victory after taking all three games from Christian Brothers. Montevallo opened the series with a 4-1 win behind strong outings from Zach Wyatt and Gene Blackmon, then secured the series with a 10-7 offensive performance in Game 2. In the finale, down to their final out, Hollon Brock delivered a dramatic three-run walk-off home run to complete the sweep.
Union enters the weekend with an 18-23 overall record and a 9-18 mark in GSC play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 20-3 run-rule win over Lane on Tuesday and claimed a series victory over AUM last weekend. As a team, Union is hitting .281 with 27 home runs this season. Elijah Ramsey leads the lineup with a .353 batting average, adding 11 doubles, four home runs, and 34 RBI, while Grant Ross paces the power numbers with 15 doubles, seven home runs, and 40 RBI.
On the mound, Union holds a 7.20 team ERA with 318 strikeouts. Right-hander Lane Evans (2-1, 6.32 ERA) is expected to start Friday's opener. Carter Daniel (1-5, 8.18 ERA) will take the ball in Friday's nightcap, while left-hander Chris Troyer (4-2, 6.18 ERA) is slated to start the series finale on Saturday.
