MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo baseball sweeps the final series of the 2026 regular season with a 10-0 win over Auburn Montgomery on Saturday afternoon.
After three scoreless innings from
Luke Holbrook to open the game,
McGwire Turner scored the first run of the game with an Even Radford RBI in the bottom of the third. In the next at bat,
Caleb Karll added a pair of RBI to score
Hudson Allen and
Hollon Brock to give UM a 3-0 lead.
Holbrook threw another three scoreless before Turner added another run off a Brock RBI in the sixth to put the Falcons up 4-0.
The Falcons added another run on a Warhawk error in the seventh before an RBI single from
Joel Chandler moved UM's advantage to 6-0. One batter later, Turner's RBI single to center scored Woolever to end the seventh with a 7-0 Montevallo lead.
A double from
Easton Kleyn in the eighth pushed the lead to eight before Chandler tripled to score
Preston Bedford to make the score 9-0. In the next at bat, Chandler scored the game winning run on an AUM pass ball to secure the series sweep.
