MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo baseball team is ranked No. 10 in the latest NCAA South Region rankings, released Wednesday.

The Falcons finished the regular season 27-23 overall and 18-15 in Gulf South Conference play. Montevallo closed the year on a strong surge, going 19-6 over its final stretch to secure a spot in the regional rankings. The team enters postseason play riding a four-game winning streak after defeating Columbus State and sweeping Auburn Montgomery over the weekend.

The Falcons now turn their attention to the GSC Tournament, which begins Friday at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala. Montevallo opens play at 2:30 p.m. against No. 6 seed Trevecca.
