BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Montevallo women's golf freshman Ainoa Ruiz has been named Second Team All-Gulf South Conference after her debut season as a Falcon.

The freshman posted a 76.0 adjusted scoring average across 23 rounds in eight events as a Falcon. Ruiz tallied a pair of top 10 finishes on the season highlighted by an individual title at the Greenwood Invitational hosted by Lander with a total score of just one-over while adding a ninth-place finish at the Montevallo Invitational with a score of 19-over. Ruiz's all-GSC selection marks the second consecutive season a Falcon freshman has earned all-conference honors.
