Montevallo enters Tuesday's contest riding strong momentum after securing its third consecutive Gulf South Conference series victory over the weekend, taking two of three on the road at Delta State. In the series opener,
Zach Wyatt delivered a dominant performance, tossing the Falcons' first nine-inning complete game shutout since April 2021 in a 1-0 victory. Montevallo has now won 11 of its last 14 games as it continues its push through the back half of the season.
Auburn Montgomery enters with a 9-28 overall record and a 5-19 mark in conference play, coming off a series loss at Valdosta State. The Warhawks are led offensively by Christopher McNeill, who is hitting .344 with a team-high 45 hits, along with seven doubles, one triple, seven home runs, and 28 RBI. As a team, AUM is slashing .279/.359/.408.
On the mound, the Warhawks carry a 9.56 team ERA and a 2.05 WHIP with 248 strikeouts on the season. Righthander Drew McCormick (0-2, 21.94 ERA) is expected to make the start after drawing the start last Tuesday against Columbus State.
