MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo's Zach Wyatt has been named the NCBWA South Region Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, the organization announced Wednesday.
The Falcons' righthander delivered a dominant performance on Friday, throwing a complete-game shutout, the program's first since 2021, in a 1-0 victory over Delta State. Wyatt allowed just four hits and recorded seven strikeouts over 9.0 innings of work.
On the season, Wyatt holds a 5-3 record with a 4.71 ERA and leads the team with 68 strikeouts, a total that ranks seventh nationally.

Wyatt is scheduled to take the mound again on Friday, Apr. 10, when Montevallo hosts Christian Brothers at 5:00 p.m.
