HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons' only runs in game one came off of a two RBI homerun by Lexes Wilson in the sixth inning. Today's homerun was the first of Wilson's career.
- Jocelyn Rivera got the start in the circle in game one against Mississippi Valley. Rivera pitched three innings and struck out three batters while only allowing one run.
- In the second game of the day the Falcons did all their damage in the second inning. Conley and Vining scored on a throwing error early in the inning to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead. The two additional runs that scored in the inning came off of a Darby Duke single to bring home Lady Sarah Federico and then Duke was plated off of a single from Shelby Lopez.
- Alabama St. rallied in the top of the third inning and scored three runs to cut the Falcons lead 4-3.
- Jocelyn Rivera pitched a complete game from the circle against Alabama State. Today was Rivera's fourth complete game of the season and with the win has a record of 4-4.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS
The Falcons went 3-2 against Division 1 opponents this weekend at the Tiny Laster Softball Tournament. Montevallo spit with Alabama State and Mississippi Valley and won their single matchup with Grambling State.
